The wonderful thing about this photograph (and all your work in general) is that you get the feeling that there is a hidden meaning or a back story. I feel as though many people could pick up a different meaning from this, that this could apply to statements about hunger, poverty, body image, fashion, gender, mental health, etc. Even if that's not the intention, this image grabs your attention and forces you to think there is something more than what you're seeing.

The corset is really brilliant. I'm very glad you can see every little detail in the corset, but its not the focus. The light draws your eyes to his expression and bare chest first. The way the black top is draped over his torso fits his sullen expression and adds to the overall impact of his look by making his slender waist that much more visually jarring. I also must add that I think its cool that he is in jeans, makes it more modern and casual. Truly, it reminds me of a modern day dark twist on a classic Greek god painting.

To sum it up I adore this piece. Excellent work!
